Description

JOB SUMMARY

Directs and motivates team while personally assisting in providing high quality service based on requirements and standards. Provides clear and concise communications to everyone having ownership in the success of events at LEVEL 8. Creates business development opportunities through targeted market outreach for specific venues and develops and maintains community and client relations.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Understands the impact of Events on the overall success of LEVEL 8 and manages activities to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Increase awareness and drive additional business to specific venue through outreach
  • Actively solicits new business opportunities by conducting effective sales calls, makes off-site sales calls, mailers, emails and presentations to potential clients
  • Generate sales and maximizes revenue while developing and maintaining long term relationships with clients
  • Create and maintain positive community relationships
  • Become involved in outside organizations directly related to industry
  • Monitors sales and continually develops strategies to improve and adjust to those changes
  • Achieves monthly sales goals
  • Sends information packets, letter writing, email and menu / events proposals to clients
  • Updates Tripleseat with all contacts, leads, tentative and definite business
  • Work with Operations team regarding event production needs, ensuring Event staffing levels are met and communicating floor plan layout
  • Creates a standardized communication to keep LEVEL 8 team informed on events.
  • Sets a positive example for guest relations and empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
  • Leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events.
  • Ensure all accounting paperwork is accurate, responsible for collecting all monies prior to event, handle the invoicing
  • Event Manager to greet the client, introduce client to the Manager on Duty and assist with the beginning of event
  • Assists in building the yearly Event Plan
  • Understand and assist with the monthly revenue reports

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of Event/Sales experience in the hospitality industry or related experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Basic mathematical skills including AR and P&L statements
  • Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Work, databases)
  • Basic understanding of legal contract language
  • Interpersonal skills, strong guest/client relations
  • Analysis and decision making
  • Written and verbal communication; time management skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize in a fast-pace, high volume environment
  • Sales ability and persuasiveness

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Role may include exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Must be able to assist with general event set up and breakdown, which may include lifting, carrying, and transporting supplies, etc
  • Candidates must be willing and available to work long hours Monday through Friday in addition to weekends
