NAYA Middle Eastern Counter and Grill is looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and friendly people to join our New York team!
Responsibilities:
The Shift Leader is responsible for leading team members in running an efficient operation, assisting with day-to-day store operations, maintaining high store standards and conditions, and fostering a positive environment.
- Responsible for all POS functions, including opening and closing procedures, comps, voids and transfers, back of house administration (employee creation, menu management, etc.)
- Ensures that all Naya drink and food recipes and procedures are followed, maintaining the highest quality and consistent product standards.
- Promotes and practices safe work habits through trainings, education and day-to-day management; Identifies and resolves potential safety hazards.
- Resolves team member or customer conflicts through Naya complaint handling procedure
- Facilitates on-going training and development of current staff; Coach and counsel team members for improved performance, documenting developmental plans as necessary, with General Manager approval
- Ensures that all team members are educated on Naya’s products and services
- Builds morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team members’ input is encouraged
- Assist Assistant Manager & General Manager in delivering performance reviews to all FOH hourly employees
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact with all types of people.
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative in a fast-paced environment, perform well under pressure and have the ability to prioritize and find solutions.
- Ability to be flexible with time .
- Fast-Casual and Quick-Serve experience with focus on customer service preferred.
- Health Department Certified a plus.
- Attentive to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to provide proof of full vaccination status upon hiring.
Compensation:
- Competitive pay rates based on your experience ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.
