Ideal candidates will have a positive and outgoing attitude with an ability to speak confidently about our restaurant, food, and wine. In addition, you are a dedicated hospitality professional that takes pride in your work, is a team player, and takes safety and sanitation measures seriously.
Position Description
The Host is responsible for initiating the guest’s experience in our restaurant throughout their visit. This is achieved by:
Greeting patrons as they enter our establishment
Walking guests to the table and presenting menus
Treating guests in a manner to ensure complete satisfaction
Managing wait list, reservation requests, and table statuses throughout service
Maintaining seating pace to not overload FOH staff
Cleaning, organizing, and stocking menus and supplies at host area
Answering questions concerning the menu, restaurant, and offerings
Interacting with guests as they leave the restaurant ensuring a positive dining experience
Performing other duties as directed
Required Experience
Experience in a high-volume restaurant (2+ years Manhattan experience preferred)
Provide impeccable customer service
Responsible and punctual
Maintain high-quality standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detail
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must work well individually and as a team player
Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items (40 pounds or more) for extended periods and open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
