Payroll Administrator / Cashier


Description
The Payroll Administrator / General Cashier will be responsible for the payroll and general cashiering functions of the hotel. This position additionally assists and supports the Accounting Department operationally and administratively to assure all documents, associate communication and internal information sharing is followed through accordingly. Above all, ensure each guest experiences SINGULAR SERVICE which is both remarkable and personalized.


• Conduct a professional, thorough payroll process for the hotel with the help of Department Managers and Supervisors.
• Maintain the hotel safe with the necessary cash balances for change, maintain all cashier house banks, conduct audits of cashier house banks, maintain the safety deposit boxes and audit & compile the daily cash deposit for the Hotel.
• Perform the administrative responsibly of human resources including; background checks, processing new hires, terminations, maintain the overall employee records & database and processes I-9’s.
• Process all aspects of payroll including; maintaining the timekeeping system database, verifying all employee punch edits are properly managed by department heads, uploading the timekeeping system into the payroll system and completing the bi-weekly payroll process through the Trinet payroll system.
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Execute all service standards
• Monitor overtime and missed punches, generate detailed reporting for the operating departments.
• Field in-coming inquiry calls and forward to the appropriate Accounting area
• Perform general administrative duties including typing, filing, word processing, calendar administration and answering phones
• Process all paper flow in and out of Accounting office
• Maintain a filing system or reports and pertinent hotel records
• Answer/forward associate requests, complaints or questions in a courteous and timely manner
• Assist and provide support to the Department Managers with cashier contracts, letters, processing of payroll, direct deposits and providing all necessary information to other departments
