Security Manager


Description
As a Security Manager, you are responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of security personnel, coordinating with government and law enforcement agencies, and organizing patrolling of the property to deliver a safe guest experience. A Security Manager will also be required to liaise with the Grand Tavern team on important matters and ensure that hotel is following all local safety regulations and emergency procedures. The focus of the Security Manager will be to provide a customer service orientated environment for both internal and external guests while conducting various safety procedures to the hotel and restaurant. Above all, ensure each guest experiences SINGULAR SERVICE which is both remarkable and personalized.


• Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.
• Conduct pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to the day's business.
• Inspect grooming and attire of staff; rectify any deficiencies.
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
• Handle complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
• Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement.
• Ensure that employees are, at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and other employees.
• Ensure ongoing focus is on the local attractions and events throughout all guest impact areas. Coach each employee to assist guests with concierge like service to personalize each guests experience.
• Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Conduct periodic bag check of staff.
• Establish standard operating procedures for key control, life safety, patrolling, etc., to be followed by the security team, staff and guests.
• Observe guest reactions and confer frequently with staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to hotel requirements for guest/employee accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.
• Work with Housekeeping & Engineering teams to ensure property safety guidelines are in place and being followed.
• Maintain a daily inventory of all keys and electronic devices that will be documented and communicated to applicable managers/directors.
• Work with Front Office Manager to ensure property key control is in place and being practiced on a consistent basis.
• Develop crowd control and capacity outlines with Food & Beverage team for all areas of the hotel with an emphasis on the Angad Rainbow Terrace.
• Conduct thorough training upon hire and consistent follow-up to ensure each employee is aligned to the service culture that is established at AAH.
• Schedule and maintain safety training of on-site leadership to include items such as CPR, Lock-Out Tag-Out, Property Lifting procedures, etc..
• Ensure security of guestroom access and hotel building access including limited hours of access for specific entrances.
• Train security staff on locker inspection procedures which will be on an as needed basis and coordinated with HR.
• Train staff on baggage check procedures which will be on an as needed basis and coordinated with HR.
• Train staff on accurate use of Incident Reports and appropriate verbiage to be used by security staff when utilizing with a guest or employee.
• Train staff to be familiar on how to handle incidents of an employee suspected to be intoxicated or under the influence of a drug (legal and, or illegal).
• Multi-task and prioritizes departmental functions to meet deadlines.
