House Person $12.98/hr


Description
The House Person is responsible for the cleaning of the public area spaces of the hotel as well as stocking of linens and supplies. He/She also will assist in the delivery of guest requests, luggage, light maintenance duties and cleaning of guest rooms. He/she is also responsible for cleaning of guest floors and assisting the Room Attendants. Above all, ensure each guest experiences SINGULAR SERVICE which is both remarkable and personalized.


• Perform day-to-day operations and check lists, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.
• Perform cleaning of public area spaces to ensure that cleanliness standards are consistently met throughout the hotel.
• Collaborates with the Housekeeping leadership on ways to continually improve departmental service.
• Adheres to hotel requirements for guest/employee accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.
• Attains thorough knowledge of all hotel related programs/interfaces.
• Ensures security of guestroom access.
• Performs cleaning of guest rooms and VIP second cleaning.
• Removes dirty dishes from guest floors and delivers to dish room.
• Delivers clean dishes to rooms.
• Performs delivery of guest requests.
• Strip dirty linen from rooms and floors and deliver to dock area for pick up.
• Assists guests with luggage as needed.
• Performs light engineering duties as needed such as changing light bulbs and plunging toilets.
• Stocking supplies and linen in closets, rooms and on carts.
• Maintaining supply and linen closets in an orderly fashion.
• Perform cleaning of exterior areas of the hotel such as sidewalk, curb areas and dumpster area.
• Removes trash and refuse from all areas of the building.
• Performs cleaning of guest room carpets, floors, upholstery and draperies as needed as well as deep cleaning projects.
• Performs cleaning of public area carpets, floors, upholstery, draperies and windows as needed as well as deep cleaning projects.
• Performs thorough cleaning of meeting rooms after functions as well as periodic deep cleaning tasks.
• Ensure equipment is in working order and submit requisitions for repair for damaged equipment.
• Coordinate with Front Office to correct any discrepant rooms.
• Multi-tasks and prioritizes departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with Engineering to correct any out of order rooms or room deficiencies.
• Attend to guest complaints and perform service recovery actions as needed.
• Ensure that proper operating procedures are being followed.
