Assistant Restaurant Manager
Description
We are looking for an experienced and charismatic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team of our stunning new private members club – Annabel’s, 46 Berkeley Square.
Annabel’s at 46 Berkeley Square covers 26,000 square feet and includes restaurants, bars, private dining rooms and a cigar salon, spread across four spacious floors. The nightclub is located in the basement of the townhouse and pays homage to the decadent essence and abundant energy of the original Annabel’s. Outside on the terrace, an enchanting restaurant garden offers year-round dining. The dining options are extensive and focus on the finest quality ingredients, seasonality and creativity.
The key responsibilities of an Assistant Restaurant Manager include:
• Working effectively with the Restaurant Manager and senior management team to ensure the restaurant/s runs smoothly, revenue opportunities are maximised and our members needs are met
• Effectively run the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
• Lead the team by example; adopting a hands-on, can do, nothing is too much, approach
• Ensure all members and their guests receive the highest levels of service at all times of the day
• Effective management of the floor ensuring the team are fully trained in all aspects of the club and each service runs smoothly
• Ensure any member complaints are handled effectively and professionally and all members leave with a positive experience
• Work effectively with the Kitchen, Maître d’ and Bar Teams ensuring seamless service and good communication across departments at all times
• Proactively work and support the club senior management team to develop the business
• Participating in idea generation to assist in the development of the restaurant and to keep our members returning
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Restaurant Manager will have following skills and experience:
• Solid experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager in a private members club or busy, high quality restaurant environment is highly desirable
• Previous experience within a premium quality customer facing environment is essential
• Some previous experience within a Michelin environment would be beneficial, but not essential
• A genuine passion for creating an excellent guest experience
• The ability to multi task and effectively react to changing member / guest needs
• Immaculate presentation and excellent command of the English language as well as strong communication skills
• An excellent team player with good administrative ability
• Experience of proactively working to support the management team to develop the business
