Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Demi Chef - Pastry / Baker to join the Pastry Kitchen team led by Executive Resort Pastry Chef, Paula Stakelum,   The main focus will be to create the best bakery products using high quality ingredients. 

Key responsibilities of the Demi Chef- Pastry / Baker position will include:

 • To prepare and produce products for the pastry/bakery section, adhering to the recipe and standard presentation of all dishes, demonstrating skill and attention to detail 
• To assist and support the day to day running of your section and all staff working in your section also
• To be aware of all operations taking place onsite, ensuring that you pre-plan dishes appropriately to the agreed standard
• To plan your time effectively in order to carry out your responsibilities in the most efficient manner
• To maintain a good working relationship with all kitchen and restaurant staff
• To adhere to Food Hygiene and HACCP Regulations and monitor Commis Chef’s compliance

The ideal candidate for Demi Chef - Pastry / Baker position should:

● Have at least 1 years’ experience within a similar role
● Have good knowledge and practical chef skills within the area of Baking
● Be fluent in both written and spoken English
● Demonstrate passion for food and food production
● Possess excellent communication skills
● Have good organisational skills
● Be able to handle pressurised situations and busy periods
● Be flexible, innovative and adaptable
