Description
Austin Proper Hotel & Residences is looking for an experienced Director of Security/Loss Prevention. This 32-story modern high-rise includes 244 rooms and a limited collection of 99 branded luxury residences and penthouse for sale. Amenities include two rooftop pools, wellness center and spa and three food & beverage destinations driven by McGuire Moorman Hospitality.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Director of Security/Loss Prevention will be responsible for the safe keeping of the property assets, guests, residences and colleagues.

Job Overview
• Maintain a comprehensive security/loss prevention and emergency preparedness plan.
• Develop and implement security/loss prevention strategies, policies and SOPs, updating them with the latest protocols and industry best practices.
• Assist with guest and residential requests and guestroom entries while maintaining proper security and guest and residential privacy.
• Assist in preparing schedules according to business forecast and budget guidelines.
• Assist with purchasing supplies, inventory controls, supplies and equipment.
• Manage all procedures within lost and found.
• Ensure that property patrols and security audits are regularly conducted.
• Efficiently relay information involved in emergency situations to designated management.
• Review activity and incident reports for all security shifts daily.
• Effectively manage and develop third-party security team.
• Develop and maintain a security awareness program and an OSHA-complaint training program for all colleagues

Qualifications
• Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in security/loss prevention field in a luxury or lifestyle hotel
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organization & time management skills • Must possess previous leadership/management experience
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
• Flexible schedule - willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
