Situated in Downtown’s Second Street District, Austin Proper Hotel and Residences is the newest luxury lifestyle hotel in Austin, just steps from Lady Bird Lake, the legendary Austin City Limits music venue and nearby boutiques. With inspiring interiors by Kelly Wearstler and culinary offerings in collaboration with McGuire Moorman Lampert Hospitality, Austin Proper offers 244 rooms and suites, a dedicated spa and fitness center, and 14,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces, including a rooftop pool deck offering small-batch tequilas and majestic lake views. Anything less just wouldn’t be Proper.

Job Overview
• Assists the Events team in the day-to-day servicing of conference and/or convention groups
• Responds to inquiries and refers guest/clients to the appropriate Sales & Events Manager as necessary; ensures timely follow up on the same business day
• Provides administrative support to the Events Manager
• Assists in coordinating all details with the Events Manager while groups are in house
• Communicates with all hotel departments as appropriate. Ensures prompt attention to time sensitive requests by hotel colleagues
• Facilitates tasks or requests as asked by guests such as; room set-ups and audio visual, etc.
• Attends daily Banquet Event Order (BEO) and other meetings as assigned
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• 1-2 years administrative support experience, additional hotel front desk experience is preferred
• Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate intuitive customer service and interpersonal skills
• Communicates clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions
• Has exceptional attention to detail, organizational, analytical and time management skills
• Multi-tasks and prioritizes in a fast-paced work environment.
• Is technologically savvy, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Delphi, HIS/Epitome and Opera Preferred.

Education
High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
