Situated in Downtown’s Second Street District, Austin Proper Hotel and Residences is the newest luxury lifestyle hotel in Austin, just steps from Lady Bird Lake, the legendary Austin City Limits music venue and nearby boutiques. With inspiring interiors by Kelly Wearstler and culinary offerings in collaboration with McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality, Austin Proper offers 244 rooms and suites, a dedicated spa and fitness center, and 14,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces, including a rooftop pool deck offering small-batch tequilas and majestic lake views. Anything less just wouldn’t be Proper.

 

Job overview

• Receiving and organization of all orders purchased within the hotel

• Organization of monthly inventory, spreadsheets and order guides

• Verify the quantity, quality, condition and type of all hotel goods received and match with hotel invoices

• Resolve any foreseen shipping and/or receiving issues

• Assist in ordering food and beverage and room operation goods

• Assist in additional projects outlined by the Purchasing Manager

 

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in a similar position in Hotel/Restaurant operations

• Organizational skills are required to maintain records, inventories, and storerooms  
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment 

• Able to prioritize multiple tasks and approach hotel staff and vendors with professional courtesy 
• Ability to work flexible schedule - willing and able to work shift duties that may include events, nights, weekends and holidays 

 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
