Food & Beverage Assistant Manager (Part-Time)


Description
Avalon Beverly Hills is looking for a highly motivated & hands-on hospitality professional to serve as Food & Beverage Manager. This is a Part-Time position.

The Food & Beverage Manager will help foster and develop an exciting, positive, results-based environment for the Food & Beverage team. Must possess strong personal organization, genuine hospitality, and care for staff. Understands and implements contemporary luxury/lifestyle standards.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily pre-shift to communicate daily specials and offerings
Assist with managerial tasks
• Actively manage the F&B operations at Viviane and private events
• Follow-up with unsatisfied guests and handles complaints
• Coordinate daily pre-shift meetings with the F&B team
• Assist with creating and maintaining procedural protocol for F&B Operations
• Assist with Special Events coordination, set-up and management
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards
• Assist with completing daily, weekly, and monthly management administrative duties including operations reports, financial documentation, guest correspondence, human resources / staff management paperwork, operations evaluations, standard operating procedures, safety and sanitations checklists, ordering and inventory documentation, and PR/marketing tasks

Skills/Knowledge Required
• Strong liquor, wine & beer knowledge required
• Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
• Proactive attitude with strong organizational and time management skills
• The ability to motivate and inspire others to work cooperatively to achieve a designated goal
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

Education
Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience
Over 5 years of hospitality experience, and 2 years of previous experience in a similar position preferred
Licenses or Certificates: ServSafe & TIPS Preferred
