Front of House Manager


Description

The Front Office Manager directly supervises all front office personnel and ensures proper completion of all front office duties. They direct and coordinate the activities of the front desk, reservations, gift shop and spa.

Some of the daily duties and responsibilities of the Front Office Manager include:

Ensure that employees are, at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, customers,
managers and other employees.
Uphold the hotel's commitment to hospitality.
Resolve guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
Achieve/exceed departmental budgeted revenues
Manage departmental costs to forecast
Train, cross–train, and retrain all front office personnel.
Schedule the front office staff.
Maintain working relationships and open communications with all departments.
Enforce all cash-handling, check-cashing, and credit policies.
Conduct regularly scheduled meetings of front office personnel.
Ensure implementation of all hotel policies and house rules.
Operate all aspects of Front Office computer system, including software maintenance, report generation and analysis, and simple configuration changes.
Monitor all VIP special guests and requests.
Experience Requirements

Experience strongly preferred
Minimum of three years of full service hotel front desk supervisory experience, experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
