The Role
Sushi Cook’ is responsible for performing sushi items for our guests in accordance with portioning, recipe, and service guidelines. Every member of this team should maintain a positive and hands-on attitude. Must be solutions driven and have an interactive leadership style. Azumi’s volume demands that every Suchi Cook be involved in each shift so sound time management skills must be practiced to ensure successful management and follow through on responsibilities. A constant focus on safety and sanitation is necessary to maintain a safe and clean work environment. All costs associated with the production of food must constantly be analyzed to ensure maximum productivity and profit.

The Requirements
As a Sushi Cook, we would love you to have:
At least 2 years of related high-volume experience
High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred
Maintains local health department food handler’s certification up to date and current
Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times.
Ability to entertain and perform in front of guests is strongly desired.
Must be able to work as part of a team and recognize the importance of each team member's role in the guest dining experience.
Ability to prepare food for consumption with background knowledge of proper techniques and equipment to be used.
Ability to stand during entire shift
Ability to stand for extended periods, and lift 30+ lbs
