Description
Barca is a new Italian Seafood restaurant in the Urby complex on Staten Island, located minutes away from the Ferry and one block away from the train station, which is one stop from the Staten Island Ferry terminal.

The concept was developed by restauranteur Victor Rallo, and Chef David Pasternack, of Esca Restaurant in Manhattan. Hailed as the "fish whisperer", Dave is a fisherman himself, who has been awarded 3 stars by NYT food critic Frank Bruni. We are seeking a passionate, professional individual with fine or upscale dining experience. Knowledge of wine service and basic culinary techniques required, and candidates should have a strong desire to uphold the highest standards of service and accountablity in a pleasant working environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

Barca is the fifth restaurant under Victor Rallo, and the first which we have brought Dave on board for. Birravino is an Italian grill and brewery located in the heart of Red Bank, New Jersey serving up dishes using the freshest and finest ingredients we can find. It has been in business for nearly 40 years. Undic Taverna Rustica, located in Rumson, New Jersey is constantly hailed as one of the finest restaurants in New Jersey featuring authentic Italian fine dining, and an incredible Italian wine list featuring some of the rarest vintages in the world. Surf NJ, also located in Rumson serves up wood fired American cooking with a BBQ twist. Surf NY, our newest venture prior to Barca opened in December 2018 on Staten Island's north shore waterfront, this massive two floor, 300 seat restaurant cooks eclectic American cuisine using white oak as it's main fuel source, imparting a unique and smoky flavor to all dishes using a variety of techniques such as wood fired grill, oven, plancha, and a Texas style BBQ pit. Our second story dining room boasts panoramic views of Jersey City, Manhattan, and the Verrazano bridge in an industrial chic atmosphere.

At Barca, our dining room features a muted color palette, and sleek white marble tabletops to best showcase the exquisite dishes placed upon them. In the rear of Barca a floor to ceiling glass wine cellar keeps our latest selected vintages at the perfect temperature, while serving as a focal point of the room, alongside our fish bar where the catches of the day are displayed. Our bar housed in a reclaimed shipping container features a wine list has been meticulously curated and features over 120 European selections, focusing heavily on Italy, with a large selection of white and sparkling wines to complement the fresh seafood selections. The list features reds from the best growing regions in Italy, and a handful of selections from France. Traditional Italian cocktails, and a uniquely coastal beer selection help entice the palate.
