Server/Waiter/Waitress

Celebrating our legacy of modern fashion, creativity, individuality, and intrigue by providing every guest with an unparalleled customer experience. We are currently seeking Full-time servers for Freds restaurant at our New Downtown Flagship Store in Chelsea.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of two years casual fine dining experience and possess excellent customer service and communication skills. A positive and professional attitude is necessary.The Server position requires an individual who is personable, dedicated, and communicative with a wonderful presence. This Server position is full-time and includes flexible hours with evenings and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Acknowledging and greeting all restaurant guests upon arrival and departure
-Clearing and cleaning tables
-Ensuring orders are placed properly in the system
-Take orders and serve food and beverage items to our customers in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner
-Ensure station and table set ups are complete prior to service and at the end of the shift
-Communicate and work closely with kitchen staff to ensure customer satisfaction
-Answering questions about Barneys New York services and other guest inquiries
-Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
Requirements:

-At least 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry
-Must possess a positive friendly attitude in order to interact with guests
-Must be team oriented and work in a fast paced environment
-Posses good verbal and written communication skills
-Detail-oriented and conscientious
-Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
-Flexibility with work schedule
-Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
