The Role

We are looking for an Executive Sous Chef to take the reins of Bistrotheque in Bethnal Green.

Two kitchens:

1. The main dining room kitchen serving dinner Monday to Sunday and weekend brunch
2. The private dining room kitchen a room which seats up to 94 covers

You will own training, both on and off shift, and by doing so you will create a strong, efficient team with high rates of retention.

You will be responsible for the overall running of the kitchen department and the consistency and quality of the food product. You will oversee and control both kitchens. We give you a kitchen manager to look after admin and two senior sous chefs. Your passion is to be in chef whites, in the kitchen with your team making them stronger and better. We expect you to run the kitchen to it’s budgeted wage cost, food COS and food safety targets.

Time Allocation Per Week:
5 days on, 2 consecutive days off
Average 55 hours per week

Remuneration:
Starting at £50k
Reviewed after 6 & 12 months

Bistrotheque opened 16 years ago. We are located between Bethnal Green and Hackney in a two storey unmarked warehouse. We’ve built a loyal following of East Londoners who appreciate quality and consistency. We’re a small, friendly team, who believe mutual respect is at the heart of delivering big services… we’ve no time for petty politics.
