ABOUT BISTROTHEQUE
Bistrotheque opened 17 years ago and was inspired by the humble French Bistro. We are located between Bethnal Green and Hackney, in a two-storey unmarked warehouse. Over time, we’ve built a loyal following of stylish East Londoners who appreciate quality and consistency. The team is small and friendly and we believe in mutual respect.
THE ROLE We looking for a sous chef who is looking for two weekend brunch shifts per week in a fast-paced kitchen. You'll be trained to work all sections in the kitchen and to run the pass. You will be actively involved in helping to train and nuture more junior members of the team.
HOURS
2 Brunch shifts per week. Saturday and Sunday.
LOCATION
E2, very close to Cambridge Heath Overground and a short walk to Bethnal Green Underground.
REMUNERATION We expect this role to earn at least £17 per hour overall once tronc criteria is met. £12.00 per hour house pay plus generous tronc.
ABOUT YOU
At least 2 years experience in a quality/volume kitchen at Sous chef level. A passion for cooking & ingredients, as well as fast-paced kitchens, are musts. Consistency, attention to detail and a nurturing side are your trademarks. We are drawn to those keen to learn and progress, whilst also being team players and able to work within a framework. Ambitions to be a head chef are good and we can help you on that path. If you don't have it already, we will organise a Level 3 Food Hygiene course and exam within 3 months of starting.
