Description
THE ROLE 
We are looking for a sous chef to join our Bistrotheque kitchen team working a mix of prep and service shifts.  You should enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen serving upwards of 180 covers per service.  Ware open for dinner Thursday through Saturday and brunch Saturday and Sunday.  Consecutive days off and maximum of 48 hours per week.

  • Hours:  Maximum 48 hours per week
  • Days: Normal rota of either Wednesday to Sunday or Thursday to Sunday
  • Days off2 or 3 consecutive days off each week
  • Holiday: 6 weeks holiday, 4 taken during August
  • Location: E2, very close to Cambridge Heath Overground and a short walk to Bethnal Green Underground.
  • Remuneration: £18 p/h starting package
ABOUT BISTROTHEQUE
Bistrotheque opened 17 years ago and was inspired by the humble French Bistro. We are located between Bethnal Green and Hackney, in a two-storey unmarked warehouse. Over time, we’ve built a loyal following of stylish East Londoners who appreciate quality and consistency. The team is small and friendly and we believe in mutual respect. 

ABOUT YOU
At least 2 years experience in a quality/volume kitchen with at least 1 year at sous chef level. Consistency, attention to detail and good organisation are your trademarks. We are drawn to those who are team players and able to work within a framework with sufficient flexibility to cope with the unexpected turns events can sometimes take.  

REQUIREMENTS
Must have Level 2 food safety, Level 3 is ideal.
