ABOUT THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES...

As a BOOKINGS & EVENTS MANAGER, you will be responsible for the effective management and conversion of all incoming enquiries and bookings (group, tables, hire, space) – using the booking and enquiry platforms within the venue.
• Have a proactive approach to increasing booking enquiries and conversion of private bookings, exclusive hire and day to day customer bookings
• The generation, creation and application where required of bespoke events
• The key point of contact for all booking enquiries regardless of size (in person, via phone, IVOX, online) for key sites and 3rd party bookings for the district
• Working to predefined Key Performance Indicators
• The generation of new events and activities via both corporate group enquiries and guest direct enquiries - channels that lead to incremental sales and profit for the district
• The coordination and utilization of key dates in order to maximise revenue and exceed prior year and budget sales
• Selling all brand and venue specific products and packages to both new and existing customers and other pre-defined products/services
• To generate a network of corporate clients to maximise corporate hire and Christmas bookings
• Selling and promoting all venue/s function space, room hire and under-utilized areas to drive new revenue streams across the district

The role holder will be accountable for:

• Understanding all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set out on a period by period basis,
• Contributing to achieving the overall venue Budget in each financial quarter by the conversion and optimization of all booking enquiries from multiple sources
• Being pro-active in devising local sales campaigns for individual and group sales that will fill un booked space or tables
• Work closely with Senior Sales and Operations managers to process large bookings and enquiries generated centrally for your venue.
• Being pro-active in generating new leads through outreach to current individual and corporate members.
• To assist in the development and distribution of professional outreach collateral and guest presentations
• To develop and agree an Events Operations Plan for major events with the respective GM/s
• To secure profitable bookings for the venue/s by bring in new customers, actively selling the space/areas and ensuring that pre-booked sales are maximized for each booking
• Ownership in reservations and incoming venue enquiries with the purpose of converting these to profitable sales
• Arrange where required for the hire of any equipment/supplies by the client to help facilitate their event (preferred and approved suppliers)
• Increasing total of bookings being recorded on Collins across the district
• Reducing lost bookings across the district
• Improving conversion rates across the district


ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Organised approach to balancing the need to be business facing and available for new contact to be made
• A proven track record in face-to-face sales and/or tele-sales and effective use of digital booking platforms
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of outreach/lead generating activity in previous work
• The ability to understand KPI’s and proactive lead generating.

Reporting to the General Manager (GM) & Retail Business Manager (RBM), this role is based at the business however the successful candidate will be expected to be flexible Nationwide with the appropriate amount of notice (i.e. one month).
