Famously Proper, owner of the iconic brands “Byron” and “Mother Clucker” are currently looking for a full time Commercial Finance Analyst to support the expansion of the business and brands.
The Commercial Finance Analyst will report into the Finance Director and your responsibilities will be to collaboratively partner with other functions, inspiring calculated decisions using your wide breadth of expert knowledge. You will be a flawless executer, with pinpoint precision, fostering a passion for partnerships, influencing the performance and profitability of our sites and wider strategies. You will be a diligent operative, approachable by any employee, always leading by example.
You will have previous relevant analysis experience in a multi-site environment (ideally hospitality) and are now ready to take the next step on your career path, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. You should be confident, highly organized and a master communicator with an analytical mind.
Your Role
You will work within the Finance team to drive business performances, support expansion plans and be responsible for:
Business Partnering with…
Marketing to understand performance of campaigns and initiatives using point of sale and external data
Operations to drive site cost improvement and deep dive into site level P&L’s to develop best practice across the business
Supply and Procurement to assess value for money and drive initiatives to reduce F&B wastage
Finance team to develop company level P&L commentary and assist with the creation of the monthly board pack
Data
Develop a deep understanding of the profitability drivers in the business
Be the ‘go to’ for detailed, data led, financial analysis
Become the owner of data in the business and ensure accuracy and accessibility
KPIs
Develop a broad set of KPI’s that reflect the issues/strengths in the business.
Make KPI reporting accessible to the sites using data visualisation tools such as Power BI
Develop the weekly reporting pack with key KPI’s and commentary
Understand the relationship between sales and labour and be able to make judgments on labour control
Forecasting
Own the forecasting process using the tools available such as historic sales, events, trends, menu mix and weather
Be able to analyse site level forecasts for inaccuracies
Liaise directly with sites to challenge on sales and labour forecasts
Growth
Analyse potential new site location and scenario modelling
Support analysis on customers and market reviews from
Ad Hoc
Business case modelling and menu analysis
