Become a Waiter or Waitress. Expect more at Côte.After opening Côte’s first neighbourhood bistro in Wimbledon Village in August 2007 to great acclaim, a large restaurant on Wardour Street Soho followed in Spring the next year. It was undoubtedly the combination of Côte’s high quality French food, warm and knowledgeable service and elegant interiors that made it a roaring success not only in well-heeled Wimbledon but also in edgy Soho. Côte’s core values were, and still are, to offer the ambience and standards of a quality independent brasserie, but with the price-tag of a high street restaurant.

The rollout continued with openings in key locations such as the staggering Thameside location of Hays Galleria, and the re-imagining of Brighton’s Old Music Library into an expansive Art Deco-inspired brasserie. Although many of the restaurants are situated around London and the South-East, there are also now restaurants in Glasgow and Edinburgh and several northern cities.

Although there is quite a mix of restaurants across the estate, including some in shopping centres and on busy high-streets, Côte are interested in conservation and so often, where possible, make their home in buildings with a rich history. Many of the restaurants are listed buildings, with lots of character, lovingly restored and given new life.

The keys to Côte’s continued success are still the same as they when we started: consistency and authenticity. A commitment to excellent training has always been at the foundation of everything at Côte
