Description

 Human Resource Specialist
The Human Resource Specialist will assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties. The HR Specialist carries out responsibilities in some, or all, of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations and benefits.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following

  • Worker's Compensation
  • FLMA 


· Maintain employee files through the Human Capital System electronic onboarding system

· Supports the field with managing requisitions and keeping Human Capital System and ADP users up to date

· Supports Multi Unit Managers and Directors on an as needed basis

· Assists with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR department

· Works in conjunction with the payroll department to ensure payroll deductions are accurately recorded

· Handles confidential new hire / termination information

· Update Human Capital System with employee new hire information, change requests and the processing of paperwork

· Keep stores in compliance with OSHA

· Assists colleagues, as well as the Director, with various projects

· Performs other duties as assigned

· Microsoft Office skills

· Written communication – edits work for spelling and grammar

· Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills

· Ability to follow up on pending issues

· Ability to meet deadlines
