Description

We are currently looking for a Distribution Manager to join our central revenue team at Red Carnation Hotels. As a Distribution Manager you will be reporting to the Revenue Manager and Director of Revenue.

 

Shifts/times: Flexible between 8am – 6:30pm Mon-Fri (8 hours per day). Office based role.

What are we looking for in a Distribution Manager?

  • Expert with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel...)
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience as a Revenue/Reservations Manager with good knowledge of distribution partners
  • Previous experience using third party distribution sites; IDeaS G2 and or G3; SynXis; Siteminder; Hotel PMS
  • High level of attention to detail, Organisational and self-motivation skills and adaptable to change Analytical 
  • Works well with a team and can work independently

 

What are the key responsibilities of a Distribution Manager?

  • Develop relationships with our distribution partners old and new ensuring we are fully aware of any potential opportunities to maximise revenue
  • Arrange and when required face to face meeting with distribution partners and hotels, including the VP of Commercial – include follow minutes of each meeting to ensure clear communication within the Revenue/Central Reservation/Marketing departments
  • Attend distribution partners events, host site visits as and when required – Feedback to the Revenue team of any new updates or developments
  • Will be responsible for room and rate parity across all distribution channels, any discrepancies need to be rectified as soon as possible
  • Ensure any distribution partners extranet sites/portals are maintained and updated as and when required
  • Daily communication with the Revenue Manager which will include
  • When required update Room/Rate restrictions across all relevant systems to ensure parity
