Description
Cherry Point is seeking a part time Service / Floor manager to join our wonderful team. The position would require availability for two dinner shifts and one brunch shift to start. We provide paid comprehensive training for all of the responsibilities related to the position.

Responsibilities include:
Coordinating the day's menu with our kitchen staff and printing that day's menus;
Coordinating a brief pre-shift meeting for the front of house staff;
Taking and coordinating reservations for a particular shift;
Greeting guests at the door as maitre d, seating and running the waitlist;
Overseeing servers, back servers and bartenders to ensure service is running smoothly;
Personally interacting with VIPs, regulars, first time diners and guests with special needs;
Following an established protocol for addressing and resolving problematic issues with a guest’s experience;
Recording sales, cover counts, 86s and service notes in a management log;
Assisting servers with closeout procedures;
Following a closing checklist to check facilities and lock the restaurant for the next day.

Candidate requirements:
4+ years in upper level hospitality experience (with at least one of those years in management)
A hands-on, energetic approach to restaurant management;
Basic computer and IT literacy;
A moderate to high level of wine knowledge;
On a more qualitative level, we're looking for someone trustworthy, honest and fun. Someone who sincerely loves enhancing hospitality in an organized, professional environment. Enthusiasm for charcuterie, cocktails, interesting wines and eclectic music are big plusses.

Compensation is competitive and calculated based on experience.

Opening May 11, Cherry Point is a modern English restaurant and bar located inside a former butcher shop in the heart of Greenpoint. With an open kitchen and a chestnut and copper bar, Cherry Point offers house-made charcuterie, seasonal fare and craft cocktails.
