Receptionist & Executive Assistant


Description
JOB SUMMARY:
To be responsible for promoting Chevy Chase CC among its members and the greater community, to develop the brand and to continuously facilitate the improvement of membership sales, member and guest experience, revenues, and overall satisfaction of the club community through continuous review and subsequent development of high quality services and activities. Create CCCC literature insuring a consistent format and message. Develop and implement programs, projects and activities designed to increase club membership, special events, and activities for golf, tennis and fitness. Create “Raving Fans” through effective communication and following Standard Operating Procedures.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Must be able to work in a fast paced, high energy, and physically demanding
environment.
● Occasionally work up to 40+ hours per week, depending on the needs of the property.
● Must be able to spend a minimum of 90% of working time standing.
● The ability to walk, bend, kneel, handle, reach, squat, crawl, climb, stoop, and other
related physical activities.
● The ability to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays, as needed.
● Must be able to communicate clearly with our guests in the primary language of the
restaurant specific to location (Primary English).
● Overall operational knowledge of banquet events and restaurant operations
● Some computer skills; including Gmail, Google Drive, Microsoft suite, POS
● Strong communication skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● To provide excellence in guest service at all times.
● To meet and greet all golfers who visit Chevy Chase Country
Club.
● To adopt sound working practice in and around the Reception Area and familiarise
yourself with the Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
● To answer the telephone in a polite manner, carry out tee time bookings, general
administration duties and to be the source of information for all members and guests
queries.
● To ensure the Reception area is presented to a high standard at all times.
● To familiarise yourself with the operation of the POS, front desk computer, photocopier
and fax machines.
● To assist with the occasional extra shift for Golf Services tasks as and when needed.
● To provide general administration assistance to the Membership and Events Team.
● To enhance the organisation and experience of reception to the membership through
process management and training.
● To assist in the organisation of the tee sheet/members bookings and adhere to the
booking guidelines.
● To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance
of the role.
● To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including
Health & Safety legislation, personal presentation and fire and emergency procedures.

TEAMWORK REQUIREMENTS:
● Ability to come to work regularly and on time, to follow directions, to take criticism, to get
along with co-workers and supervisors, to treat co-workers, supervisors and
members/guests with respect and courtesy, and to refrain from abusive, insubordinate
and/or violent behavior.
● Create positive relationships with staff by treating all members with respect.
● Report equipment and/or building damages to supervisor immediately.
● Take initiative to solve problems.
● Utilize required checklists every day.
