NOTE: This IT field position requires availability for 75% local and out-of-state travel. IT Field Operations Tech candidates will commute to multiple locations in the Chicago area (city and suburban) and must be extremely flexible with scheduling, including weekend on-call availability. The Field Operations Technician will be based out of the Chicago office.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Experience with server maintenance
  • Knowledge of PC repair and troubleshooting
  • Open availability for scheduling including weekend on-call availability
  • Ability to commute using employee-provided vehicle to multiple locations in a timely manner, frequently transporting, lifting & loading equipment up to 50 lbs

IT Field Operations Technicians provides technical support on mainframe, personal computer (PC) hardware/software and all information technology (IT) networking for restaurant locations and corporate office.


Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and perform necessary calls to provide technical support on mainframe, PC hardware and software and all networking to restaurant locations and corporate office, including but not limited to cleaning of all PC equipment and installing and upgrading new software
  • Route and assign tickets to the appropriate IT team member and track issues via the LEYE Help Desk System
  • Create and delete mailboxes and maintain the security permissions
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve remote access connectivity and email issues for stores, and visit the store in person if required
  • Assist in the defining and obtaining of PC software and hardware, site preparation of PC acquisitions, and maintaining inventory of all IT equipment at restaurant locations and Corporate
  • Inform IT staff regarding software/hardware issues and trends seen internally via the LEYE Help Desk and externally within the industry 
  • Evaluate software/hardware for future use by stores or Corporate Office
  • Maintain confidentiality of passwords, company records and information
  • Work a variety of days and shifts (including weekends, nights and on-call support rotation) at local and out-of-state sites as needed
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and office equipment
  • Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable light, noise and temperature levels
  • Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurants and/or other LEYE facilities (which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces)

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Proficiently use and operate of all necessary tools and equipment including MS Word and Excel
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Get along well with others and act as a team player
  • Other duties assigned as needed
