The Campus Recruiter / Internship Program Manager will develop and implement campus recruitment strategies for all LEYE brands. This person will also manage and execute the company’s campus recruitment initiatives, intern recruitment and the Summer Internship Program.

Essential Functions

  • Develop, manage and execute campus recruitment strategies for all LEYE brands
  • Manage the full life-cycle recruiting process for the LEYE Summer Internship Program and all other LEYE internships, including but not limited to recruiting at local and out-of-state college/university campus events; reviewing application materials; screening and interviewing by telephone, video technology and in person; and presenting candidates to hiring partners and managers
  • Manage all administrative and logistical aspects of campus visits and events including registration, payment, shipping recruitment materials, etc.
  • Cultivate new and existing partnerships with schools and organizations that will attract, identify and source qualified internship and management candidates including but not limited to cultivating and maintaining relationships with faculty, students and organizational representatives
  • Notify the LEYE Recruiters of all strong interns and candidates to review for management-level opportunities
  • Coordinate all new hire forms and paperwork for Corporate Interns, and assist the Recruiting team as needed with new hire forms and paperwork
  • Partner with Training and Development Manager to plan and organize Summer Internship Program including but not limited to restaurant tours, executive speaker series, team-building events and professional development sessions 
  • Plan and organize all other intern and student events throughout the year
  • Prepare and present Summer Internship Program reports and planned strategic improvements to LEYE leadership, based on analysis of metrics, benchmark research and industry trends
  • Act as key point of contact for interns and management regarding intern-related questions, including but not limited to intern participation in special events such as Windy City Smokeout
  • Promote LEYE employment brand by modeling our core philosophies; highlighting our culture, benefits and opportunities; and caring for every candidate as we do ourselves, our guests and each other
  • Partner with LEYE social team to manage and develop content for LEYE’s HR social media accounts including Instagram and LinkedIN, and analyze metrics to assess engagement
  • Work with LEYE Design team as needed on collateral for recruiting needs such as career fairs, employment branding, etc.
  • Develop and maintain strong partner and manager relationships through effective communication including but not limited to prompt response to intern hiring needs and strong follow-through
  • Proficiently use one or more Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) including but not limited to completing all steps of standard hiring process within ATS to ensure compliance
  • Assist management teams as needed with hiring events such as new restaurant openings
  • Maintain availability to perform duties outside standard business hours as needed, including evenings and weekends
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and office equipment
  • Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable light, noise and temperature levels

 Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coach LEYE management and colleagues on best practices when attending career events
  • Build networks and source leads to develop a pool of qualified active and passive candidates using various digital, social media and other recruiting/sourcing techniques
  • Collaborate with Recruiting team to create and implement strategic engagement plans that build and reinforce awareness of the LEYE employment brand across LEYE communities in all geographic markets
  • Get along with others and be a team player
  • Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors, employees, and colleagues, and respond with patience and courtesy
  • Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment including MS Word and Excel
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Get along well with others and act as a team player
  • Other duties assigned as needed
