After the success of the London flagship, Chotto Matte now counts two other restaurants in Toronto and Miami. With a further three sites in London, Doha & Riyadh opening in 2022 and extensive expansion plans in the works, Chotto Matte’s journey is just getting started.

GENERAL PURPOSE: 

To manage and supervise daily running of bar and lounge. Ensures that the function provides the highest quality product, consistent with cost control and profitability margins, maximizing guest satisfaction. All work is carried out in line with the departmental business plan, and The NZR Group corporate guidelines, and service concepts.

 

GENERAL DUTIES: 

·       Monitors industry seasonal and international trends and recommends appropriate changes in menus and preparation techniques to maintain the competitive status.

·       Assist in budgetary and payroll expense control as required.

·       Maintains Bar and Lounge area, materials and company property clean, tidy and in good shape; reporting defective materials and equipment.

·       Attend any meeting or training session as required by Management.

·       Record Bar staff performance, liaising with Group Bar Manager, London Head Office and The HR Department. Giving staff performance reviews, interviews and guidance.

·       Assist in Bar recruitment, interviewing protentional staff and recognizing current staff for promotion.

·       Maintains a safe and hygienic work environment.

·       Is conversant and complies with:

1.       The company fire and health and safety procedures

2.       The company security procedures

3.       The property facilities

4.       Licensing regulations

5.       Operation standards and departmental procedures

 

ACCOUNTABILITY: 

·       Actively participate in assisting to achieve departmental goals and objectives and carry out assigned work by Group Bar Manager and London Head Office.

·       Actively engage in your own personal development to benefit the business and improve your personal skills – probationary period reviews, annual appraisals, attending training and development courses.

·       Actively participate and host weekly/monthly departmental meetings and any other meetings that you are required to attend.

·       Actively participate in addressing complaints and resolving problems.


PERSONAL SKILLS: 

·       5 years of Beverage experience with at least 2 years managerial role in a high end, and fast paced cocktail lead environment.

·       Creative and inspiring leadership.

·       Personal License holder.

·       Excellent command of English language (written and spoken).

·       Fourth system basic knowledge (Rota building and staff management).

·       Alert 65.

·       Stock and cost control, TISSL or similar POS system.

·       Supplier network.

·       Proficient knowledge with all beverages, cocktails, spirits, sake and wines.

·       Focus on quality with attention to detail.

·       Good organizational skills. 

·       Ability to communicate with customers and peers with a friendly and positive attitude. 

·       Self-motivated, continuously seeking to succeed and progress in career within the company. 

·       Extremely flexible and committed. 

·       Lively, enthusiastic and confident. 

·       Ability to handle difficult situations successfully. 


WORK ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·       UK resident.

·       Pre-Settlement or Settlement status, required to provide Share Code, or BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) if you are not a British/Irish citizen.

·       National Insurance Number.
