Citadines Apart’hotels is opening a new property in the London borough of Islington! We offer a home away from home with contemporary and sleek studios and apartments with modern comforts, business connectivity and additional services customised to our guests’ lifestyle and needs. Citadines offers properties in prime locations in major destinations worldwide, this is your opportunity to join our new opening team as Maintenance Technician at Citadines Islington London.

We are seeking a self-assured, experienced and highly efficient Maintenance Technician to join our Citadines Islington London team. As Maintenance Technician you will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with the Maintenance Team.

Being the Maintenance Technician, you will need to be proactive, experienced and have the ability learn the new property’s maintenance requirements

As a Maintenance Technician you will be required to:

• Ensure effective preventative and routine maintenance inspections under guidance of the Maintenance Manager
• Deal with guest requests in a timely and efficient manner, communicating with other departments if necessary
• Assist and support with the undertaking of maintenance and repair all mechanical service pumps, valves, boilers, calorifiers, AHU and auxiliary plant
• Assist and support with the undertaking of maintenance and repair heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment as directed by the Residence Manager or Maintenance Manager
• Carry out general painting, tiling and all reasonable duties as directed by the Residence Manager or Maintenance Manager
• Record accurately all necessary plant information in the appropriate logs and bring any defects to the attention of the Maintenance Manager
• Maintains a log system thereby ensuring job statuses are accurate and jobs are completed within the targeted timescale

Ideally you must have:

• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience, as a handy man or similar role
• Effective communication skills in written and spoken English
• Proficient level of IT systems including Microsoft Office Suite
• Intermediate understanding of general health, safety & fire safety, including COSHH, and Legionella awareness and prevention
