Description
Position Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for presenting City Winery to the local, national and international artistic communities as a professional venue, dedicated to meeting the needs of performers and clients. Maintain high level of production value for everything A/V-related. Provide in-house audio, video, lighting and technical engineering support for programming. Advance all shows and events; act as main contact for all A/V needs and provide day-of support for those needs. Maintain, protect, organize and inventory all relevant equipment and work with GM on any departmental needs (additions or replacements).


Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in live sound and events production mixing audio, lighting and video.
• Prior experience and full comprehension and ability to mixing audio on a Midas Pro2 sound console is required.
• High integrity, reliable work ethic, and unparalleled passion for hospitality, food, wine, and music
• Professional and effective communication skills
• Superior organization skills and attention to detail
• Flexible and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
• Must have proficient computer and technological skills
• Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended period of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift, carry, push, pull weight of at least 50 lb.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed,


Overview of Responsibilities:
• Oversee production advance details of concerts, private parties or space rentals in need of A/V
• Operate concert and event audio, lighting and video 5 days per week
• Manage sub-engineer schedules and supervise through artist, manager and staff feedback
• Oversee the security, maintenance, organization and inventory of all A/V equipment
• Manage A/V advance needs for all events with tour managers or event planners; work from tech rider and make sure status is updated on Tripleseat for any operational needs including run of show
• Coordinate backline and equipment rental
• Participate in production meetings with department leaders and clients as needed
• Oversee set up of tech needs as required (Main Space, second concert space, Private Dining Room, Restaurant, Patio, etc…)
• Act as primary point of contact for artists and management upon arrival at City Winery; greet artists / management, show them to dressing room / green room, and introduce them to Concert Manager
• Ensure spaces occupied by talent are clean and set with hospitality as per the rider prior to artist arrival
• Oversee pre- and post-show music ensuring that it is appropriate for genre of band performing and at a suitable level
• Manage pre-show stage lighting and in-show lighting (i.e. focused look rather than a stage wash for a solo performer); ensure lighting is dynamic and matches the show (one look is not sufficient for any show)
• Facilitate proper pre-show announcements
• Coordinate house lights for show level
• Manage and coordinate run of the show (sound check beginning and end times, start of show timing, house and stage lighting, etc.)
• Programming, operation and maintenance of all building Ketra lighting systems
• Perform other responsibilities as required.
