City Winery on the Chicago Riverwalk is an outdoor wine garden that provides Chicagoans and visitors a way to enjoy the city in a unique way. With beautiful skyline and river views, guests have a truly special experience to indulge while enjoying locally made wine and delicious food. To top it off, wine is served through a unique tap system to showcase the company's commitment to sustainability.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work outdoors on the beautiful Riverwalk in Chicago. This role is a full-time, SEASONAL position anticipated to end around early December.
Position Summary
Server Assistants are responsible for providing a clean and pleasant dining experience by assisting in serving food and beverage to guests, clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables, and ensuring all areas are well-stocked and tidy. This is a seasonal position that requires open availability for scheduling.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and exceptional guest service skills
- 1+ years experience as a busser or runner in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment preferred
- Polished presentation
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the role including standing/walking for entirety of shift, bending, pulling, pushing, using stairs, lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds
Overview of Responsibilities
- Provide positive guest experience
- Assist in serving food and beverage to guests
- Fulfill guest dining requests as needed and facilitate communication of guest requests to servers
- Clear, clean, and reset tables, seating, and equipment
- Ensure polished and clean presentation of all areas
- Routinely serve and replenish water glasses to guests
- Restock and replenish utensils, napkins and other dining room needs
- Complete necessary side-work
- Perform all other reasonably assigned duties
