JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Green Room Assistant
Reports to: Concert Manager
Job Class: Non-Exempt


Position Summary:
Server duties are to focus on interaction with performing artists, fellow workers and CW management in a professional service industry manner.

Overview of Responsibilities:
Tasks include, but are not limited to:

Venue Server:
● Execute hospitality plan for performing artist(s) as specified by Concert Manager
● Ensure all hospitality items, from food and beverage to extraneous items, are accounted
● Adhere to Steps of Service as propagated by Concert Manager and brand standards, when applicable
● Create a hospitable, welcoming environment for all artists, with approachable presentation of knowledge and ability to execute professional service
● Enforce Federal, State and City laws and ordinances in the handling and provision of alcoholic beverages
● Handling of money and cards for payment for services
● Serving wine, beer and liquor in proper proportions and glassware and charging proper prices for beverages
● Serving of food from the proper menus, providing quality control and charging the proper prices for food
● Monitoring and adhering to hospitality budget specified by Concert Manager
● Maintain an organized workspace, keeping and storing things in their proper places
● Maintain cleanliness of work areas including small and large green rooms, and penthouse
● Ensure that work areas are properly supplied with glassware, silverware, napkins, pens, paper, and other appropriate supplies
● Attend tastings and trainings as mandated by Management
● Ability to maintain positive artist experience and exceed artist expectations
● Maintain a well-groomed, polished appearance and navigate venue conditions, including tight spaces, dark room, and loud environment
● Keep working knowledge of City Winery brand, history, culture, and programming, both in venue and private events
● Perform other related duties as assigned by Management and the Concert Manager


Minimum Qualifications:
● Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work both as a team and independently
● Ability to take direction, and communicate effectively and professionally
● Exceptional guest service and hospitality skills
● Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
● Prior server experience in high-volume, fast paced restaurant or similar environment preferred
● Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift loads of up to 50 lbs. Able to work rapidly, especially during peak periods to ensure that all guests are being serviced properly and necessary operational tasks are being completed in a timely manner
● Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
