Job Summary:

The Hotel Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing hotel operations, providing exceptional guest service. This role combines front desk responsibilities with accounting duties, making it essential to be detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a courteous manner.
  • Perform audits of hotel financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in revenue reports, room charges, and payments.
  • Balance and reconcile all accounts, including credit card transactions and cash drawers.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports for management.
  • Monitor hotel security, ensuring guest safety and reporting any suspicious activity.
  • Assist with reservations and modifications.
  • Handle emergency situations, such as fire alarms or guest medical incidents, following hotel protocols.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties in the lobby or front desk area as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in hotel front desk or accounting roles preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, OnQ, or similar systems).
  • Ability to work independently and handle shift responsibilities.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Hotel front desk and office areas.
  • Quiet, overnight setting with minimal supervision.
