Job Summary:
The Hotel Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing hotel operations, providing exceptional guest service. This role combines front desk responsibilities with accounting duties, making it essential to be detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a courteous manner.
- Perform audits of hotel financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in revenue reports, room charges, and payments.
- Balance and reconcile all accounts, including credit card transactions and cash drawers.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports for management.
- Monitor hotel security, ensuring guest safety and reporting any suspicious activity.
- Assist with reservations and modifications.
- Handle emergency situations, such as fire alarms or guest medical incidents, following hotel protocols.
- Perform light housekeeping duties in the lobby or front desk area as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hotel front desk or accounting roles preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, OnQ, or similar systems).
- Ability to work independently and handle shift responsibilities.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
