Description
Common Stock in Hillcrest, San Diego is hiring our first culinary manager. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to learn and grow, as they will be tasked with creating all of the systems to staff the kitchen, learn the food and train the hourly employees in its execution, and maintain a profitable food operation. Kitchen management experience is preferred, but not required provided previous kitchen employment, a great attitude, and a desire to succeed. In the initial term, the responsibilities will touch on inventory management, payroll, recipe writing, recruiting and training, schedule writing and departmental accounting. Over time, this person would ideally begin to craft new menu items for our brand, and assist in designing kitchens for further openings. Future ownership percentage will be considered. Relocation to San Diego is required for this position; Spanish speaking is preferred.

Management experience within the restaurant or quick-service environment
• Experience with a statement of Profit and Loss
• Leadership skills and a sparkling personality
• Experience training new & current staff
• A strong desire to create a sense of community for our team members and neighbors alike
• Experience with administrative tasks including scheduling, inventory management, ordering, HR compliance
• Ability to ensure a clean and safe working environment for staff and customers
