D&D London is a diverse and vibrant collection of 43 restaurants (including one with a Michelin Star) and an award–winning hotel situated in London and beyond. Founded by Des Gunewardena and David Loewi (the D and D in the name) in 2006, the company has rapidly expanded and contains some of London’s most iconic restaurants, such as Bluebird, Le Pont de la Tour, Sartoria, German Gymnasium and 14 Hills. Outside London the company has made their mark by opening Crafthouse, Angelica, Issho and East 59th in Leeds, 20 Stories in Manchester and Klosterhaus in Bristol.
This role is an immediate start and fixed term until December 17th. If applying for this role candidates must be available during the whole term of the contract.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Group Sales and Events Manager to join our central Sales and Events team. As Group Sales and Events Manager you will contribute to the delivery of and lead on the D&D London sales strategy, with responsibility for handling and managing private dining, group bookings events and exclusive hires.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maximise all revenue opportunities for D&D London restaurants for private dining, exclusive hires and group bookings, cross-selling and up-selling as appropriate
• Source, research and proactively contact new business prospects through the most appropriate channel
• Build long-term relationships with clients to secure repeat business
• Develop and maintain agent, corporate, DMC and event organiser database
• Solicit feedback from clients by following up each event to enhance customer experience
• General administration support, trace files
• Adjustments figures collation and inputting
• Attend and work on events at the restaurants and venues as required
Key Requirements:
• Proactive and enthusiastic, seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Inbound telephone call handling experience
• Knowledge of restaurant industry or event industry
• Rational problem solver
• Able to work under pressure
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
