Description
We are looking for an entry level manager for a high volume bar & restaurant in a prime SoHo location. Candidates must be personable, reliable and passionate about the hospitality industry. Must have a flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing FOH staff (hiring, training, disciplining)
Manage reservations and help seat guests.
Hands-on management of floor during service. Touch tables and actively engage with customers. Attend to any problems that may arise.
Help with operations side, inventory/ordering.
Ability to properly communicate to FOH and BOH staff as well as report in detail to the General Manager on a daily basis.
Other duties as assigned by the general manager.
Experience:
Strong background in either serving / bartending
Strong knowledge of craft beer, food & wines.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong work ethic, attentive to details & focused under pressure.
Extremely personable & professional with excellent customer service skills.
High Volume, fast-paced experience a plus
Excellent computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word & POS systems.
