Description
Reporting to the Director of Events and the Operations and Events Supervisors, the Catering Runner is responsible for the timely and effective delivery of all catering orders.

Distilled NY is looking for a catering team member to help ensure our guests around the city get the best food and hospitality experience possible. The job is part time; when you will be needed will be based upon the number of catering orders placed that week and your own success in the position.

Duties:
* Report to and follow instructions of management.
* Carry government issued ID and cell phone at all times.
* Arrange for transportation from Distilled NY to drop off location and back.
* Ask for assistance from the AM team during the load out from Distilled NY.
* Ensure the safe and cleanly transport and set up of catered food.
* Understand how to read and interpret the Drop-Off Catering BEO and execute all instructions with 100% accuracy.
* Perform a final check of the food order, supplies bag, and all necessary materials with 100% accuracy before leaving Distilled. This entails checking off each item one by one on the BEO to make sure the delivery contains ALL necessary items.
* Strictly adhere to listed departure, arrival, and set up times reflected on the BEO.
* Be courteous, clean, and represent Distilled NY's hospitality to the fullest.
* Arrive prepared to complete all necessary actions and problem solve to provide excellent customer service.
* Wear gloves and work cleanly when dropping off food.
* Make food presentable for client (i.e. mix trays, garnish items, etc).
* Follow order confirmation instructions as per the BEO with 100% accuracy.
* Complete responsibilities upon returning. These include making sure equipment is left at dish pit, carts are returned to their storage location, and leftover supplies are appropriately restocked.
* PROACTIVELY communicate any issues to management or directly to the vendor as appropriate.
* Turn in transportation receipts and reimbursements in a timely manner.

* Perfect punctuality.
* Appropriate dress.
* Interpersonal skills.
* Excellent time management skills.
* A great attitude and a passion for hospitality.
* Ability to problem solve on the ground.
* This position will entail lifting items of up to 50lbs.
