At District Doughnut, every team member is an important part of our success. Dishwashers will be responsible for maintaining a productive environment for our bakers and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness for our Back of House operations
Reporting to: Bakery Manager, Director of Bakery Operations
Responsible for: Bakery functionality and cleanliness
Wage: Starting at $14/hour
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Washing dishes
2. Sanitizing Surfaces, Equipment, and Waste Bins
3. Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in proper storage areas
4. Sort and remove trash and recycling, placing it in designated pickup areas
5. Sweeping and sanitizing floors, maintaining cleanliness of all areas in facility
6. Maintaining kitchen work areas and utensils in clean and orderly condition
7. Cleaning, maintaining, and troubleshooting heavy kitchen appliances including mixers, fryers, ovens/ranges, grease trap, and more
8. Stocking delivered inventory supplies and goods in proper locations
9. Transferring supplies or equipment between storage and work areas
10. Communicating with team members to produce effective work results
11. Maintaining Refrigerator and Freezer Temperature Logs
Key Working Relationships
Dishwashers are part of the back of house team. They will work in close connection with the baking associates and report to the back of house managers.
Hours of Shift
Part-Time, 2-3 days/week with hours varying from 6-8 hours, not to exceed 24 hours/week
Basic requirements
● Previous Kitchen Cleaning experience
● Familiarity with three-compartment sink, mop sink, and basic sanitation protocols
● Attentive to detail: high standards for cleanliness for each element in a kitchen
● Trustworthy: able to follow directions and perform required tasks consistently
● Motivated: able to work independently and without supervision
● Dependable: ready to work at time of each scheduled shift
● Conversational English preferred
● Able to lift up to 50 lbs
