Sous Chef


Description

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Sous Chef to organise the kitchen’s activities. We have a two tiered kitchen setup and you will be in command of both in the absence of the head chef. 

We create traditional Napolese style pizza in our wood fired ovens and take great care and passion in doing so! As Sous chef your role is to create a high standard of operations alongside the Head chef, where your team take pride in what they produce

Sous Chef responsibilities include:

  • Create a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers
  • Assist in the of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff 
  • Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities 
  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Plan and make orders
  • Oversee the work of subordinates
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Sous chef or of a Chef position where you can articulate your readiness to step up! 
  • Exceptional proven ability of kitchen standards
  • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
  • Great communication and leadership skills
