Description

Downtown Los Angeles Proper Hotel is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager for Cara Cara, our rooftop Restaurant & Bar. Proper has partnered with Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne, two of LA’s most accomplished restaurant owners and the James Beard Award-winning duo behind AOC, Lucques, Tavern, and The Larder. 

This historic 148 room renovated Hotel with two restaurants, event venues and a spectacular rooftop bar is now open and is the next exciting addition to the Proper Brand.

The Cara Cara Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for ensuring that service runs smoothly as well as managing a team. The role will be a very hands-on, floor-based position so a confident and outgoing personality is essential. Must possess a strong sense of leadership, genuine hospitality and care for the team. 


Requirements
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine and spirits
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The ability to motivate, inspire and lead a team to work cooperatively to achieve goals
- Flexible schedule - willing and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar restaurant / hospitality / nightlife operation achieving elevated service standards
