Director of Engineering
Description
Downtown Los Angeles Proper Hotel is looking for a Director of Engineering. This historic 148-room renovated Hotel with two restaurants, event venues, and a spectacular rooftop bar is scheduled to open in Winter 2020 and will be the next exciting addition to the Proper Brand.
The Director of Engineering is responsible for maintaining the building and property grounds with a focus on safety, security and asset protection. Works to establish a safe and secure environment for all guests and colleagues. Develops and implements a preventative maintenance plan for the property and equipment. Accountable for managing the budget and capital expenditure projects. Anticipates the needs of guests and employees while maximizing the financial performance. Responsible for maintaining standards and meeting regulatory requirements. Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues. The Director of Engineering will report directly to the General Manager.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required.
