Area Assistant Director of Finance
Description
Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Finance. A one-of-a-kind historic retrofit, our 148-room property located in the heart of Los Angeles features interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by the James Beard Award-winning Lucques Group duo, a panoramic rooftop restaurant-bar & lounge featuring a swimming pool and 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance with all accounting and financial requirements for the Property, providing financial support, and technical expertise to the Director of Finance and hotel team, with the goal of maximizing profit and safeguarding hotel assets. The main responsibilities for this role are managing the accounting records and financial reports, providing effective controls, and management of financial accounting and control procedures.
This key role will also assist in maintaining oversight of accounting and financial requirements for an additional property within our portfolio, Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required
Experience
Minimum 4 years of Hotel or Resort Management Finance experience required
Previous Assistant Controller or Assistant Director of Finance experience or equivalent also required
