Manger for Specialty Food Shop & Café


Description
We are looking for dedicated food service professional to manager our Williamsburg store.

Duties:
oversee a staff of 20+ including sandwich makers, delivery and baristas
hire, train, mentor and motive staff
set goals, guidelines and standard and hold staff accountable to them
work to increase overall profitability by driving sales, managing waste and controlling inventory
maintain clear and consistent communication among store team
provide outstanding customer service
work in concert with purchasing manager to procure highest quality, innovative and exciting products
oversee food prep and production

Requirements:
understand all local, state and federal health codes and maintain highest safety and sanitation standards
basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food service production
general knowledge of coffee and barista operations
understand food costing, profit margins and labor costing
stay apprised of local and national specialty food scene and current food trends
have a keen eye for merchandising
be able to use all current social media outlets as a way of communicating with customers
have a minimum of 2 years in a similar position
