Reservations Office Manager


Description
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the below:

Mastering and training others on all functions of the Open Table system, Events system, and Seven Rooms, Resy system
Maintaining the guest database, scheduling period check-ups, and conducting quarterly audits of the Open Table/Resy system
Reviewing usefulness and relevance of relationships with third party reservation platforms; staying current on other competitive reservation platforms
Serving as a brand ambassador for estiatorio Milos to both guests and reservations team
Overseeing all incoming event inquiries for accuracy and diligence
Working closely with members of the restaurant management teams to enhance guest experience and maximize covers at the NYC restaurants
Learning and teaching the specifics of reservations sheets of each restaurant including overbooking, taking large parties, etc.
Communicating with guests about special requests and occasions as well as particular reservation preferences; developing relationships with VIP’s and understanding their desires
Creating and managing “day-of” books to increase availability for last minute reservations
Updating reservationists with current information and policies regarding all restaurants
Posting all changes and new policies on the reservations board
Working with the GM’s to create and maintain policies for restaurants
Scheduling, leading, and participating in periodic reservations department meetings
Interviewing and hiring new reservations staff as necessary
Conducting performance reviews for all reservations staff
Training, guiding, coaching, and developing all new reservationists and provided ongoing training to current staff
Creating the reservation staff schedule
Managing reservation payroll according to the budget set in place
Driving the timeline in planning for all major holidays
Investigating and providing information to management and executive team about prior year’s plans/performance to recommend actions for the current year

The ideal candidate will have the following:

A minimum of 3 years Guest Relations experience in a background that has similar quality standards, with at least 1 year of management experience
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Overall strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality and privacy
Professional presentation and ability to communicate with a diverse workforce
Ability to demonstrate accuracy, to attend to details, and to calculate and analyze numbers
Strength in problem solving and organization
Solid knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Capability of working in an open office design
Able to multi-task
Ability to work flexible hours which may include holidays, weekends, and evenings
Ability to travel around NYC for business purposes
