Recognized as one of the finest Mediterranean seafood restaurants in the world, Estiatorio Milos was founded by acclaimed chef Costas Spiliadis who has made it an unparalleled culinary destination in Montreal, New York, Athens, Las Vegas, Miami and London. Our New York Location is currently seeking full time and part time wait staff to join our team!

JOB DESCRIPTION: Wait Staff
Classification:
Hourly / Non-Exempt
Reports to:
Floor Manager

Summary/Objective:
The wait staff is responsible for each guests experience at Milos. The wait staff guides the customers through their dining experience at Milos from the moment they enter. The wait staff is responsible for ordering the food and drinks, checking in, presenting the bill, and everything in between.

Essential Functions:
• Provide superior customer service to our guests.
• Assist in food and beverage selection, presenting menu and answering guest questions regarding menu, cuisine and beverages.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen identifying special requests and any dietary restrictions.
• Maintain open communication with all team members.
• Maintain table settings by removing courses, replenishing beverages, utensils, and ensuring guest’s requests or issues are handling promptly and courteously.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Process guest bills efficiently and correctly.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Required Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year previous server experience in restaurant/hospitality/entertainment venue
• Superb customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem solver and team player
• Flexible with varying schedules to reflect business needs
• Must have knowledge of food & beverage preparation and service
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull food trays, carts, chairs and tables up to 40 lbs with our without reasonable accommodation
