An island above the city, and blurring the lines between a food hall and a festival, Freight’s unique set up reflects the time, the demographic and the city. It’s a place people can come for a coffee, stay for lunch, meet for drinks or make a whole day and night of it. We specialise in curating an evolving calendar of residencies and menus that span emerging local talent and nationally recognised names, keeping the experiences fresh and engaging. We care about the details. How things look. How they feel. How people move through the space, and what stays with them after they leave.
We are looking for Bartenders, to join the Freight team! You will need to be available for work Thursday - Sunday.
Our Bar Team play an essential part in our guest’s journey, keeping the service smooth, the the drinks flowing and working hard to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere where our guests can enjoy the Freight Island experience. You will report into the Bar Supervisors & Bar Managers on duty & will be allocated stations of the bar to create a consistent and outstanding bar service
You MUST have weekend availability to be considered.
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Delivering drinks to a high spec and look
Setup and maintaining bar stations to an excellent standard
Working with the whole team to deliver the day to day running of the bar
Creating a fun, upbeat and welcoming atmosphere
Ensuring a high quality of service
Following H&S and any security specifics
Enforcing Challenge 25 and Licensing Rules
Ensuring daily and weekly cleaning schedules are complete
Supporting the floor staff with clearing when the bars are quiet
What you’ll need:
A minimum of 2 years’ bartending experience
Experience in a similar unique venue or nightclubs would be an advantage
Cocktail experience is desirable but not essential!
A can-do attitude and calm head when it gets busy
An infectious smile and outgoing personality to create a great buzz and customer experience
Phenomenal communication skills
Able to deliver high standards consistently
Fluent English (spoken and comprehension)
