Description
Sous Chef for Floodwater, new Mill Valley restaurant, coming soon!!

Floodwater is an exciting new restaurant opening in Mill Valley, serving California cuisine with a focus on local seasonal ingredients. We are seeking talented Sous Chefs with at least two years management experience to join our opening team.

Qualifications:

• Be able to assist the executive chef with menu development and implementation.

• Ability to compose creative dishes using seasonal and local produce and have an impeccable palate when critiquing and tasting food.

• Must have a team mindset / be a team player, with strong communication skills to lead, motivate and manage a staff of 20 or more.

• Strong line work experience in a fast paced environment, a great sense of urgency.

• Experience with food cost, inventory, labor cost, administrative paperwork, and ordering

• Provide a firm yet professional and respectful demeanor while staying calm and composed under pressure.

Must be able to work weekends and nights

Fluent in English, Spanish a plus.
Fresh pasta, pastry, and wood fire oven experience a plus.
