Description
Frankie, an Australian restaurant and bar located two blocks from the Grove St Path in downtown Jersey City, is looking for a Head Cook. This individual will run the kitchen operations and lead our kitchen team.
Frankie specializes in modern Australian food and low intervention wines. We use a wide variety of produce from both land and sea.
The right candidate should have at least 5 years cooking experience with a minimum one year in a management position. The head cook will work alongside the owners to execute their menu and hit food and labor cost goals.

Responsibilities
Keeping consistent quality during service
Maintain food and labor costs to budget
Execute menu items from start to finish
Assist with ordering and scheduling
Run an efficient and motivated kitchen up to DOH regulations
Requirements
Solid understanding and experience of each section of the kitchen
Comfortable communicating and working with ownership
Strong knowledge of back of house administrative duties
High volume restaurant experience preferred
